In 2008, Maximum Performance decided to take their vision and opened a location in Odenton, Maryland. In our Odenton clinic, we have the opportunity of not only serving the surrounding community, but also the pleasure in serving many military families stationed on or near Fort Meade. We are proud to be of service to individuals and their families who sacrifice so much to serve our country. Many of our military patients consider us a part of their extended family.

Chris Merkel

Physical Therapist - Clinic Director

Chris earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Clinical Health Studies from Ithaca College. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In his spare time he enjoys golfing and going fishing.

Kara Hamilton

Physical Therapist

Kara received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. She has worked in the outpatient therapy setting for over twenty years, and has established a reputation for providing exceptional patient-focused care. Kara previously worked for Maximum Performance PT for a few years prior to the pandemic, and we are thrilled that she has returned to the team.

Chris Hartford

Physical Therapist Assistant

Chris became a member of the Maximum Performance PT team in August 2025. He is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who enjoys helping patients return to the active lifestyle in which they are accustomed.

Samantha joined the Odenton staff in the Spring of 2023. Her warmth, professionalism and kindness have enhanced the positive experience that patients receive at Maximum Performance PT.
