Job summary

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based physical therapy services to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. Working with a wide variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, the therapist will deliver high-quality patient care while collaborating with fellow clinicians to achieve the best possible outcomes. This role emphasizes hands-on treatment, patient education, and ongoing professional growth.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s diagnosis, goals, and functional abilities.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment.
  • Stay current on evidence-based practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic culture focused on exceptional patient care and customer service.

Qualifications & requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current or eligible Maryland Physical Therapy License.
  • Strong understanding of orthopedic evaluation and treatment techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting (preferred but not required).
  • Manual therapy training or certifications are a plus.

Salary

$85,000.00 – $100,000.00
