Physical Therapist

Job summary

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based physical therapy services to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. Working with a wide variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, the therapist will deliver high-quality patient care while collaborating with fellow clinicians to achieve the best possible outcomes. This role emphasizes hands-on treatment, patient education, and ongoing professional growth.

Job responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s diagnosis, goals, and functional abilities.
Provide therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment.
Stay current on evidence-based practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic culture focused on exceptional patient care and customer service.

Qualifications & requirements

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
Current or eligible Maryland Physical Therapy License.
Strong understanding of orthopedic evaluation and treatment techniques.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting (preferred but not required).
Manual therapy training or certifications are a plus.

Salary

$85,000.00 – $100,000.00
