    Untitled Document Jon began working in the field of physical therapy in 1993.  He completed his Master’s degree in physical therapy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1998.  His work experience has been based in the outpatient orthopedic setting since receiving his degree.
    In 2000 he became certified as a strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  This certification complements his skills as a physical therapist. 

    Jon’s continuing education coursework has covered a variety of topics in orthopedics and sports medicine, but his focus and interest is working with patients with neck, back, and pelvic conditions.  “I find the spine and pelvis a very complex and exciting area to continue to learn about and treat.  It is possible to make a tremendous difference in the quality of a person’s life when you can alleviate neck and back pain.”  Jon utilizes a combination of manual therapy techniques, education, and exercise to treat his patients.

    In 2003 Jon, along with Tom Yates, founded Maximum Performance Physical Therapy as a way to provide the quality of care that patients deserve and to try to make a positive impact in the community surrounding Laurel, Maryland.  Jon is also an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
